Met de AIDAprima wil de rederij de passagiers het cruisen opnieuw laten ontdekken in een “all-in-one”-Centerparcs-concept. Ze zorgt voor een vernieuwende factor in het aanbod. Vanaf 2016 zal de AIDAprima telkens dezelfde vaarroute bevaren, nl. inscheping in Rotterdam (met overnachting in de haven) met stops in Hamburg, Southampton, Le Havre, Zeebrugge en tot slot ook ontscheping in Rotterdam. Bij de AIDAprima is de vaarroute ondergeschikt aan de beleving aan boord. Naast de gekende faciliteiten zijn er ook enkele bijkomende activiteiten terug te vinden. Het sportdek is voorzien van een klimmuur en ook een waterglijbaan. Opvallend is hier ook dat er ‘indoor’ strand, nl. de AIDA Beach Club, aanwezig is. Houdt u toch liever van wintersport? De AIDAprima beschikt over een 200m² grote ijsbaan waarop ijsschaatsen, ijshockey en curling mogelijk zijn. Indien u een liefhebber bent van culinaire hoogstandjes, kan u genieten in één van de (maar liefst) dertien restaurants. Aan boord van de AIDAprima zijn ook veertien verschillende soorten hutten te vinden, wat de AIDAprima anders maakt dan haar voorgangers.
