Cruises aan boord van de Disney-schepen zijn een belevenis op zich. Met shows, entertainment en thematische excursies van topniveau, uiteraard alles in passende Disney-outfit. De moderne en perfect uitgeruste schepen zijn elegant ingericht, en weerspiegelen soms de sfeer van de jaren ‘20. De shows in het Walt Disney Theater worden aangevuld met optredens van de Disney figuren en Disney-films in de bioscoop.

De kinderen hebben uiteraard veel ruimte op het schip en worden op professionele manier opgevangen en bezig gehouden. Opvallend is dat de schepen geen bibliotheken of casino’s bevatten, en de hutten groter zijn dan gemiddeld. Zeer familievriendelijk dus, met o.a. twee badkamers om elkaar niet teveel in de weg te zitten. Voorzie wel een extra stevig reisbudget, want al deze faciliteiten komen met een prijskaartje.

Disney Cruise Line is er in eerste instantie voor de fans en heeft dus geen directe concurrenten. Voorlopig telt de vloot 4 schepen maar in 2021 en 2023 komen er nog twee bij !
